Weekly Classes

Ages 6 - AdultGeneral Art Class
Each student works from a reference picture of their choice, either from the wide selection available at the studio or from their own collection. General Art Classes are also being offered in Martensville and Warman.
The General Art Classes offer instruction in a variety of mediums including pencil, pastel, pencil crayon, acrylic, watercolor and scratchboard. Each semester contains 10 one-hour or two-hour classes. Appropriate for ages 6 to adult. Please see schedule for class times & costs.

Students will learn to develop their own cartoon characters. Weekly lessons will help students learn how to apply expressions, proportions, and elements of design, to their characters.
This course will build on the principles of character construction learned in the Introduction to Cartooning class, and will encourage students to consider the other elements involved in cartoon and comic creation, such as perspective, light and shadow, texture, story-telling, etc.
Preschool & KindergartenPreschool/Kindergarten Art Class
Students will be introduced to the elements of art: line, shape, value, color and texture, through drawing, painting, collage and other activities. The elements of art are considered the 'building blocks' of art.
Does your little artist love to experiment with art? Drawing, painting, collage, crafts? Go beyond the school classroom art. Students will learn about famous artists, styles & periods in art history from stories written for young children about the artists. Each child will then create their own masterpiece based on the style of the Masters!
Older Teens & AdultsPersective & Rendering
You will learn basic use of principles of geometry to develop spatial logic & spatial imagery; skills in procedure, technique & understanding the underlying perspective principles. Discover how to apply dramatic 3D to your paintings & drawings.
Older Teens & AdultsFigure Drawing
Class objective is to study the human form, working from reference material we will study basic structure of the head & figure. Applying proportion, color, light, shade & shadow we will quickly capture the gesture of the human body.
