Class Description

Older Teens & Adults

Class objective is to study the human form, working from reference material we will study basic structure of the head & figure. Applying proportion, color, light, shade & shadow we will quickly capture the gesture of the human body. Exploring the principles of foreshortening & developing a visual memory of the physical form. concluding with a development of figures in a composition; using dry or wet medium.

• 12 two-hour classes.
• Appropriate for older teens & adults.
• Because of the progression of lessons within the Specialized classes, enrollment may not be accepted after the first day of class and make-up classes will not be possible.
• Suggested supplies: PAPER: newsprint, bond or drawing pad; MEDIUM: charcoal (pencil or stick), conte crayons, one or two single sticks, (black & sepia), medium hardness
